This book came as a total surprise to me. I really didn’t think I was going to like it. The description on the cover didn’t sound like something I’d enjoy, but I gave the book a try anyway. I’m very glad I did. It’s one of the best books I read all summer. Once I began reading this book, I just could not stop. The plot has numerous twists and turns, and you never know exactly what’s about to happen. I started out disliking almost every character in the book. However, as the author slowly and cleverly explained their histories and connection to each other, I began to understand what was driving them to behave as they did. I felt the book was very well written, and I’d enjoy reading more books by this author.
I heartily recommend this book, and think it would be a good book club selection.
